Mosaique [Hakim Anthony]

In 2004, the artistically expressive soul of Mosaique was birthed onto the UK performance poetry scene. His captivating style of performance has literally distorted the conceptual idea of what poetry is, and captured the imagination of an international audience.

As a prolific writer, his poetry has been used as a means of education in a series of short films, one of which entitled “It Could Be…” was the people’s choice winner of the international Film Minute competition in 2006.

Among Mosaique’s other accolades over the past 5 years are being a “Word4Word” Slam Champion, UK Unsigned Poetry Slam runner up, recording an advertisement for Channel U, making appearances on MTV and BBC, and recording a track for the acclaimed Rapper Doom Man’s “Until That Day Volume 2” mix CD.

Mosaique’s debut album “Fre(e)quency Volatile” was released to great acclaim in 2008. On this album, Mosaique exhibits the freedom of expression that he has become well known and respected for and has further cemented his stature as one of the most unique performers in the UK.
