HAKEEM ANTHONY:

By his late teens, Hakim had mastered the street and had grown a fearsome reputation running South London’s best coordinated drugs operation. His infamy led to him to being contacted by a journalist, who sought his knowledge for her book on the international drugs trade. Hakeem’s decisions were largely based on gut instincts, and his emotions were his greatest gift and weakness. His inability to control it resulted in numerous scrapes with both adversaries and the law. At 24 he was imprisoned on a GBH charge, but he continued to run his lucrative business from inside a cell. Hakeem’s chance meeting with Tuggstar came after he observed a loyal foot soldier talking to him during one of the candidate’s famous road walks. Suspicious of Tuggstar, Hakeem had him under surveillance and secretly attended a number of his speaking engagements. What Hakeem heard, unexpectedly helped him to exorcise some of his own Demons....a favour he was willing to re-pay with his life! Unbeknown to Hakeem, Tuggstar had often noticed him. He believed he could refine Hakeem’s raw qualities and prepare him for leadership.
